So far, 2,80,74,156 doses of the COVID vaccine have rolled out in the country. Among these, 1,93,40,408 people received the 1st jab and 87,33,748 people received the 2nd jab.
Among the vaccine’s 1st dose recipients so far – 1,10,62,000 were males and 82,77,706 were females and 53,11,300 males and 34,22,448 females received the 2nd dose of the COVID vaccine.

It is learned that 1,16,92,336 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine ‘Covishield’ have been rolled out. Besides, 1,00,372 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and 1,26,92,422 doses of China’s Sinopharm vaccine have been applied. 35,18,644 doses of the Moderna vaccine have been rolled so far.

This information has been given in a press release signed by Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, director of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.

Meanwhile, 85,728 men and 14,644 women have received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines in 6 centers in Dhaka so far. Of these – 55,063 took the 1st dose and 44,599 took the 2nd dose.

The roll-out of China’s Sinopharm vaccine has started on June 19. In the second phase of the mass vaccination program, 1,03,82,881 people received the 1st dose and 23,09,541 people received the 2nd dose, among these, 69,56,239 were males and 57,35,743 were females.

Besides, the roll-out of Moderna vaccines has been started in the city corporations from July 13. So far, 25,63,473 people received the 1st dose and 10,25,993 received the 2nd dose, of these, 21,15,436 were males and 14,75,030 were females.

The DGHS says 3,91,35,956 people have registered for the COVID vaccine till Sunday at 5:30 pm.
